On the afternoon of May 28, the closing ceremony for the 43rd Training Program for Party Activists and the thematic Party lecture Party History in Songs was solemnly held in Room 301, Building 19. Attendees included Yang Congcong, Deputy Secretary of the School Party Committee; Li Liping, Member of the Party Committee and Organizational Coordinator; secretaries of various student Party branches; and all participants of the training program. The ceremony was presided over by Qu Jiayun, a trainee representative.

The event commenced with a themed recitation titled Letters to Heroes and Models. Three groups of trainee representatives expressed heartfelt tributes to exemplary figures from different fields. Feng Tao and Hu Dongrui presented Echoes of Awakening: A Century-Old Dialogue Between Youth and Their Era, passionately reenacting the historic exchange between young pioneers and their times a hundred years ago, showcasing the revolutionary predecessors’ unwavering dedication to their ideals. Xue Huiyi’s recitation Seeking Light, Becoming Light, Spreading Lighteloquently illustrated how contemporary youth inherit and practice the spirit of role models, calling on attendees to embrace their mission in the pursuit of excellence. Zhao Liang’s Dedicating My Heart to the Yao Qin—To Ye Jiaying, Guardian of Classical Poetrypaid poetic homage to the renowned master of classical poetry studies, Madam Ye Jiaying, interpreting her perseverance and cultural devotion.

Following the recitations, outstanding trainees were awarded certificates in recognition of their exceptional performance. Faculty presenters honored representatives who had excelled in theoretical learning and practical activities during the program. This accolade not only acknowledged individual achievements but also inspired all trainees to emulate these examples and align themselves more closely with the Party organization in both thought and action.
In his address, outstanding trainee representative Rui Kezhong shared insights gained from the program. He emphasized that systematic theoretical study, group discussions, and practical activities had deepened his understanding of the Party’s nature and purpose, while clarifying the responsibilities of Party activists. He urged fellow students to translate their learning into concrete actions, exemplifying vanguard roles in academic and daily life, and striving to join the Communist Party of China through practical dedication.
In her concluding remarks, Teacher Yang Congcong highlighted that 2025 marks the centenary of the May Thirtieth Movement, urging trainees to draw strength from Party history to clarify their responsibilities and direction. She affirmed the program’s achievements in theoretical learning, group discussions, and practical engagements, and encouraged trainees to: persistently strengthen ideological foundations through continuous learning; actively practice original aspirations and missions; and courageously innovate in inheriting the revolutionary legacy.
The ceremony concluded with a thematic Party lecture Party History in Songs delivered by Teacher Jiang Junliang. Through analyzing classic red songs such as Song of the Dusk and On the Songhua River, the lecture explored the historical narratives and spiritual connotations behind the music. Using melodies as a medium, the session guided trainees through the Party’s struggle and development, evoking the fervor and determination of revolutionary forebears, and deepening the understanding of Party history within an artistic context.
The closing ceremony served not only as a summary of the training outcomes but also as a starting point for a new journey. All Party activists from the School of Economics and Management will take this event as an opportunity to remain committed to their original aspirations, advance with determination and courage, and strive to glorify the Party’s cause while contributing their youthful strength to the realization of the Chinese Dream of national rejuvenation.
