On August 21 and 25, 2025, a delegation from our School—comprising Dr. Yao Li (Program Coordinator of the Master of International Business), Dr. Yang Ying (Program Coordinator of E-commerce), and faculty members Zheng Guojiao, Li Qilin, Liu Yu, and Xu Zhaoran—conducted research visits to Shanghai Guowei Electric Group Co., Ltd. and Shanghai Xinggu Cloud Technology Co., Ltd. The delegation was warmly received by Ms. Fan Xujuan, Marketing Director of Guowei, and Ms. Sun Licui, Partner of Xinggu Cloud, who accompanied the faculty during site tours and discussions.

During exchanges with representatives of both enterprises, the delegation engaged in in-depth dialogues regarding the formulation of cross-border e-commerce standards and pathways for internationalizing industrial e-commerce standards. Dr. Yao Li introduced Shanghai Polytechnic University’s international project initiatives and standardization efforts, while Ms. Sun Licui outlined her company’s development trajectory and core business domains. Ms. Chen Yi from the Shanghai Federation of Industry and Commerce Service Chamber also presented related project content and development prospects.

Through guided tours of corporate exhibition halls, the faculty gained detailed insights into Guowei’s business sectors and cross-border e-commerce transaction models. Guowei representatives systematically presented the company’s business model, innovation strategy, development vision, and specific talent needs in international business, emphasizing its leading position in overseas markets.

The visits also facilitated substantive discussions on talent development. As part of national efforts to deepen industry-academia integration and promote high-quality graduate employment, both Guowei and Xinggu Cloud expressed strong commitment to collaborative education initiatives with universities. Faculty and enterprise representatives held practical conversations on course co-development, guest lectures, and campus recruitment activities. Both parties agreed to use this exchange as a foundation for expanding collaboration in scope and content.

These research visits not only strengthened mutual understanding between our School’s International Business and E-commerce programs and industry leaders but also provided a platform for校企合作, program development, and student internships. The insights and practical experience shared by the two companies will inform the optimization of our curriculum and training schemes, enabling us to better cultivate internationalized, interdisciplinary business talents who meet market demands.
