On October 19, the 2025 National College Student Standardization Olympiad Finals, jointly organized by China Jiliang University, the China Association for Standardization, and the National Standardization University Alliance, successfully concluded. Over 400 participants, including judges from universities, research institutes, industries, and enterprises, representatives of the organizing units, competing students, and faculty advisors, gathered at China Jiliang University. The competition attracted over 5,000 participants from 757 teams across 132 domestic and Belt and Road international track universities. After preliminary and regional rounds, 81 teams advanced to the national finals, including representatives from Zhejiang University, the University of Chinese Academy of Sciences, and the National University of Singapore.

Following intense competition in the East China regional round, a team from our school, guided by faculty advisors Lin Huidan, Hao Hao, Li Hui, Shao Zhouzhou, and Wang Shangjun, advanced to the national finals. Their entries achieved remarkable success:

AI-Based Elderly-Friendly Service Specifications for Public Librariesand A Standardized Framework for Precision Marketing of Cultural Tourism and Exhibition Projects via Social Mediasecured Third Prizes in the Data Elements & AI Standardization and Cultural Heritage Protection & Tourism Standardization special competitions, respectively.
The HOS/TC225 team claimed the Special Award in the Non-Standardization Track.

Our school’s Standardization Engineering program, a pilot reform initiative for industry-education integration in Shanghai’s application-oriented undergraduate institutions, adopts a Cooperative Education (Co-op) model to cultivate talent through alternating academic and practical training. These competition results exemplify the achievements of this educational reform. Building on this interdisciplinary collaboration experience, the school will further deepen educational innovations, proactively engage in hosting East China regional events for the competition, and contribute to Shanghai’s efforts in building a highland for standardization talent. By nurturing high-quality professionals with industry-academia integration experience, interdisciplinary depth, and global competence, we aim to inject youthful vitality into the national strategy of building a quality-powered China.
