On December 17, 2023, Shanghai University ofInternational Business and Economics (SUIET) and Shanghai Lixin School ofAccounting and Finance (SLSAF) jointly organized a seminar on"International Investment and Technological Innovation in the Context ofDigital Economy" at the Songjiang Campus of SUIET. The conference focused on overseas high-level investment cooperation of multinational enterprises in the context of the digital economy, explored how to promote the application of digital technology in the financial industry, and how to enhance cross-border technological cooperation. Prof. Yang Yong was invited to be the co-chairman of the conference and carried out high-level exchanges with domestic and foreign scholars.

Professor Yang Yong delivered a keynote speech at the opening ceremony of the conference, focusing on issues related to investment location, technology transfer, and internationalization of digital enterprises by multinational enterprises, introducing how internal and external innovation activities of enterprises affect overseas investment cooperation, and discussing the strategy of internationalization of technology for digital economy enterprises.

In the parallel forum, Prof. Yang Yong shared his latest research results and hosted a journal editorial meeting with Prof.Keith Phibeam (Editor-in-Chief of the International Journal of Finance &Economics) from City College, University of London, Prof. Sushanta Mallick(Co-Editor-in-Chief of Economic Modelling) from Queen Mary University of London, and other experts and scholars. Prof. Keith Phibeam (Editor-in-Chief ofInternational Journal of Finance & Economics) from City College, University of London, Prof. Sushanta Mallick (Co-Editor-in-Chief of Economic Modelling)from the Queen Mary University of London, as well as other experts and scholars, attended the conference. Several International Business teachers and graduate students of International Business attended this conference and gained a series of new ideas and insights in the field of digital economy research through the exchanges with the experts and scholars attending the conference.
