From April 10 to 12, 2024, the ACBSP(Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs) Accreditation Panel conducted a three-day admission review of the School of Economics and Management. The accreditation panel consisted of Prof. Brad Kleindl from ParkUniversity, Prof. Qi Wang from Gallaudet University, and Prof. Jamie Mcilwaine from Point Loma Nazarene University. The Accreditation Examination Kick-off Meeting was held on April 10th in classroom 301 of Building 19 of the University, with the Heads of the relevant functional departments of the School, the accreditation Core Team of the School of Economics and Management, and representatives of the faculty members participating in the meeting. The meeting was presided over by Mr. Zhuo Wuyang, Dean of the School of Economics and Management, Vice President Ding Li attended and delivered a speech, Director of Academic Affairs Department Zhang Shiming introduced the school's full preparation for this accreditation, and finally Prof. Brad Kleindl elaborated on the purpose and importance of the accreditation and explained the form and focus of the inbound accreditation.

In the following two days, the expert group conducted on-site validation of the seven accreditation standards of education leadership, Strategic Goals, Students and Stakeholders, Student outcomes assessment, Faculty, Curriculum, and Talent Cultivation effectiveness in a variety of forms, including various types of interview sessions and on-site field trips. The first part of the accreditation session was an interview session with relevant departments on campus, including six on-campus group interviews with school leaders, accreditation core team teachers, professional teachers, teacher record verification, learning outcomes assessment, and current students, which mainly included the support of schools and colleges for the accreditation work, how to promote the accreditation work in concrete terms, the support and cultivation of school colleges for professional teachers, the on-site validation of teachers' personnel record records, student learning Effectiveness Assessment (LEAP) identification, and students authentic feedback on the teaching of the program.
In-school group interviews
The second part of the review session is an interview session with external stakeholders, including three external groups adjunct faculty members, the College of Economics and Management AdvisoryBoard, and alumni, which mainly includes how they participate in the College'sstrategic plan, talent training programs, course syllabi, evaluation of students competency development objectives, how they support the College in improving the quality of teaching and professional development, the career development of graduates, as well as their feedback and suggestions to their alma mater. Off-campusteam interviews
The third part of the evaluation session was the on-site visit, in which the expert group visited the School's PersonnelRecords Office, the School History Hall, the Employment Service Center, the Student Activity Center, the Library, and the Experimental Training Center of the School of Economics, and Management, and comprehensively researched the school's education management in the areas of personnel, teaching, students, scientific research, libraries, and archive management, and made an in-depth understanding of the School of Economics and Management's Education, Teaching and Professional Construction.

In the feedback meeting on April 12, Professor Brad Kleindl, as the representative of the ACBSP Accreditation Expert Group, presented the results of the review in detail to the participants. The expert group first made 9 suggestions for improvement for the report submitted by the university, including the relevant imperfections to be improved such as student achievement, student group division, gauge evaluation, and human resource plan, etc. After that, they fully affirmed the comprehensiveness and accuracy of the self-assessment report of the university and put forward ten major merits, respectively, for the university's complete system, scientific planning, rigorous teaching, perfect facilities, professional construction, teacher training, and curriculum evaluation, etc., and indicated that they would recommend four of these merits to the ACBSP accrediting body as the best cases for the committee members to vote on.
Vice President Ding Li expressed his gratitude to the ACBSPAccreditation Expert Group for their hard work and said that the expert group assessment comments provide important feedback for the school and play a key role in guiding the school's future improvement of education quality. Dean of the School of Economics and Management Zhuo Wuyang responded at the meeting, promising that the School will analyze the feedback and suggestions of the expert group item by item, clarify the direction of improvement, find out the deficiencies in-depth, ensure the effective implementation of all the suggestions, and then continue to promote the overall improvement of the quality of business education in the University.
ACBSP (Accreditation Council for BusinessSchools and Programs) is the largest accrediting body for business programs in the U.S., providing accreditation standards for business programs all over the world.ACBSP has more than 1,200 member institutions throughout the Americas, Europe, Asia, Africa and Latin America. The International Business, ElectronicBusiness, and Logistics Management majors of the School of Economics and Management of our university started ACBSP accreditation in 2020, became ACBSPmembers in 2021, and after three years of hard work, our application for accreditation was approved in October 2022, and we formally submitted an accreditation self-assessment report to ACBSP international accreditation body on December 1, 2023, and successfully passed into the admission review. The admission review of ACBSP is not only a test of the quality of discipline construction School of Economics and Management but also an opportunity to comprehensively improve the level of education and teaching management and professional construction of the university. The university will use this evaluation to promote professional construction, facilitate internal reform, strengthen the management system, and expand international cooperation, moving towards the goal of building a high-level applied university.
